Holley Performance, the largest and fastest growing group of performance brands in the performance aftermarket is looking for a Full-Stack Web Developer at our corporate headquarters in Bowling Green, KY.
We are currently seeking a Full-Stack Web Developer for a full-time position on our growing web team. You will work on a Scrum team to develop new systems and implement new features for existing systems. The web development team is responsible for multiple e-commerce websites, a B2B website, and an intranet for internal business processes. You will make highly-visible contributions to the business, and develop expertise in optimizing web experiences on high-traffic sites. Applicants must be prepared to demonstrate their knowledge and ability in an interview.
Key Job Elements (Essential Functions Performed):
- Create/Modify PHP applications to add and replace functionality.
- Create new systems and applications, documenting functionality, and application life cycle (cradle-to-grave).
- Implement SQL queries, views, and stored procedures for backend functionality, reporting, and middleware code.
- Take UI/UX designs and convert them into working JS, HTML, and CSS.
- Develop database schemas with an emphasis on scalability and performance.
- Work with team members to ensure commonality between systems.
- Leverage version control, automated testing, and project tracking software to ensure delivery of a high-quality product
- Coordinate, prioritize, and manage user requests for support.
- Evaluate new technologies and techniques for proactive adoption in the enterprise.
Basic Qualifications (Education/Experience required):
- B.S. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience
- Strong programming skills using object-oriented languages
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good planning and organization skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Strong development experience with PHP or similar language.
- Experience with version control such as Git.
- Experience with Apache and/or NGINX in LAMP/LEMP stacks.
- Experience creating mobile/desktop web applications using JS, CSS and HTML5
- Strong knowledge of SQL and the ability to read/write complex queries
- Experience building and using RESTful API's.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with jQuery.
- Familiarity with Sass/Less.
- Experience with Node.js.
- Knowledge of Docker or containerization
- Exposure to Agile methodologies including Scrum and/or Kanban
