$2000 challenge and details

Car finished 3rd overall in 2017 Grassroots Motorsports $2000 challenge. At the time it was running a stock 5.3 with 428,000 miles from a 2007 express van. Ran 12.0@114 on 1.7 60’ with a burned valve. Since then it is still on the same super high mile shortblock but now has 243 heads and ls6 cam.

autocross setup is 15x8 with 205/55 sm7 hoosiers. Drag setup is 24.5x8x15 m&h racemasters.

interior is aluminum dash and seats, 8 point roll bar and hatch area is sealed box around fuel cell and nitrous bottle. Front end is all fiberglass including a one-off hood. Rear is still stock r160. Have yet to hurt it, but did blow

both half shafts at the same time at the roadkill drags in Norwalk in 2017.

in 2015 car went from an abandoned field find with a bad sbc to bodyworked/painted and competing in 4 months. Have been improving ever since
