In December 2019 I had been driving my 2004 Impreza Sport since high school. For 10 years I drove that car on every back road in the region I could find and took it places no stock car should be driven. After one engine replacement and many wheel bearings, I decided I wanted something modern to tinker with both the mechanical and electronics.

I picked it up as the first 2020 model year Crosstrek sold at the dealership after some wheeling and dealing to get the extra bits I wanted and get it under the sticker (Wasn't easy). The first little mod went on the night I brought it home: an offset license plate holder to make it identifiable from all the soccer mom mobiles that are prevalent here in North Idaho.

The end goal is to have this as my daily for the next 10 years while making it the perfect overlander for someone like me who loves their high tech gadgets.
