I did it my way!

twenty years ago I was slightly financially able to build the car of my dreams. I originally thought I would find a project someone had lost interest in and purchase and finish it, after several long trips to see other peoples follies, I did take my Wife's advice. I contacted a local Rod Shop and had them build me a frame, after several months of saving up I was able to purchase a body, several more months later, I got fenders, then running boards , My Wife stated it was easy to buy Christmas and birthday presents for me back then, it was always something for the car. I built her to what really turned me on to street rods when I was young , full fenders and bumpers. I worked tireless nights and weekends to get her built I remember driving to a cruise in near our home before I had any interior in it. I didn't care I just wanted to drive her. Now after having her more than 20 yrs she still looks good to me! I still have things I want to upgrade on her , but now being retired, money is even tighter. I guess as long as we have goals we will never tire of them.
