iNTECH Breath

By: Ty 03/31/2021

My truck was used as the development mule for the iNTECH Cold Air Intake with Ram Air Scoop, so for a while, I was running around with the prototype installed. It's pretty amazing that even with the prototype, I never once got a Check Engine Light. I had heard of other brands throwing CEL codes and that's why I was wary to follow through with those brands. Boy am I glad I waited!

The iNTECH intake features a one-piece design that helps deliver only fresh, filtered air to the engine. The iNTECH Cold Air Intake uses a non-oiled internal filter to catch debris and dirt, and the filter can be washed and is reusable. It also bolts right up to the factory cold air intake locations, so installing it was bliss. After installing, I noticed that Holley made the intake housing match the existing design and pattern on the factory engine cover, making the iNTECH CAI subtle in the engine bay. I like subtle. They also designed a tool tray to effectively utilize some extra space under the hood when working on projects. They even built a cup (beer) holder into the design!

If you're looking to wake up your 3.5L Tacoma, I would highly recommend picking up one of these Cold Air Intakes from iNTECH. As far as sound goes, it's hardly noticeable during normal driving, but you'll know it's there when you need it!
