By: David 05/13/2021

8/20 - Okay, time for the Front 3-Link! Kind of.

I could only mount the frame brackets and upper axle mount because the Coilovers still had not arrived.

I had to relocate the fuel pump and filters because of the bracket.

I added some rubber and foam between the fuel pump and bottom of cab because the sound of the fuel pump went right into the cab and into my ear :-)

Other side was easier.

Next was the frame upper link mount. I had to notch it first to fit around my rock slider bracket.

Next was the upper link axle mount.

This was as far as I could go until the Coilovers arrived.

11/20 The Coilovers finally arrived and I can now finish the 3-link front suspension.

Need to remove the old stuff, shocks and leaf springs.

Then need to remove the old brackets.

Trying to locate the correct placement for Panhard bar frame connection.

Test fitting everything before I fully weld it all.

And it turns out I could not use the stock shock axle mounts because they were a bit too close to the outside and made the springs rub the steering control arms when turned. So I had to cut them off and weld on some others.

Time to start fully welding and painting everything.

But there was just a slight little Problem

The truck did not want to straighten itself back out after a turn!

I called AccuTune, where I purchased the Coilovers and whom custom Tuned the Shocks and Spring Rates per each corner of my vehicles weight (that I had to give them) and to my desired driving styles. I asked them what the heck was going on with my situation and they stated that due to my trucks light weight and the type of ride that I requested that they had to use softer springs which was probably contributing to this situation. We then both agreed that I would try installing Sway Bars first before I went with stiffer springs. So off to the next project! :-)
