Victoria

By: Tracy 10/14/2021

My parents bought Victoria new in 1983--she was the family car until around 1991. My Dad decided to start transforming her into a track car--we are from Ohio so we spent weekends at Summit Raceway in Norwalk racing various vehicles over the years.

He did various mods over the years to include: Swapping to a 350 Corvette engine, edlebrock aluminum heads, Holley double pumper 740 carb, MSD ignition, Hurst shifter, hooker headers, Chevelle rear end and rocker lifters and valves. There are other things that are done that we are not sure of. The car was running high 11's on its last pass.

My Dad passed away in 2012---and the car has been sitting in a pole barn since then.

My mom passed her on to me---so Im slowly trying to get her going again. There is some rust on the rear passenger compartment that will need to be taken care of but otherwise the body is pretty solid--it has sat in a garage or barn since it was new, so that has helped.

My Dad was setting the car up to run with a blower---and we have the parts for that, but i do not think ill go that route. I would just like a nice weekend cruiser that's a little fast :)

Paint and body work will be starting in February 2022!
