Summary of the shitbox.


Traded a rusted out but running 2003 s10 ZR2 absolute gem rust bucket. Had a terrible running 454 and a Th350 trans in it when I acquired it. Immediately put a Holley Sniper on the 454 as the Edelbrock carb was trash.


Wasn't anything mind blowing having a 454 in a short bed stepside. Had a ton of torque and got about 8 MPG typical for a big block chevy.


March 2022 Blew a head gasket during normal highway driving. Decided it was time to go LS (my first LS build)

Put in an L92 6.2l i had acquired off FB Marketplace and rebuilt with no mods other than a cam. Added on Holley Terminator XMAX to feed and control the beast and slapped a rebuilt 4L85E behind it.


3 months later a lifter turned wiping out a lobe on the cam and sending metal thru the engine. Was going to just flush it and replace the cam but then snapped a headbolt during reassembly. No machine shop can get to the block to remove broken bolt for 2 months. So i pulled the trigger on a 408 forged stroker shortblock from Texas speed I have had my eye on for a hot minute.


Now that its re assembled and running with a Texas Speed stage 2 cam this thing is rowdy. Fries those Nitto 325/50/15s at will in 1st and 2nd gear.


I want this truck to be an all around beast. I can cruise it, autocross it, and drag race it. Or if i so choose boil the tires from a stop light should i so choose. Its almost there.
