Introduction

I bought this '69 C10 LWB at 19 and has been a fun project since the day I bought it. It came with a 350 SBC, TH350 Trans, and a 12 bolt rear with a one wheel peel. It had the steelie wheels and big 31" tires. The whole truck was wrapped is the seller's company logo and flames, that was the first thing to go. I did a few small upgrades in the meantime like new front and rear wiring harnesses, new KYB shocks, new MSD Street Fire HEI distributor, plug wires, Fuel Pump and fuel filter. Within a few weeks the rear end and transmission got blown up. I upgraded the rear to a 3.73 Yukon Posi unit, another TH350 and all new U-Joints and Carrier Bearing for the driveshaft. Later on I decided 4 drum no power brakes was not sufficient and bought a front disc power brake conversion. When I had all the brake lines apart I installed a Hurst line lock kit to have some smoky fun. When doing the power brake conversion I got some 2.5" drop spindles to give the truck a nice street truck look. Along with the drop spindles new wheels were a necessity so I went with the age old aluminum Indy Slot Mags wrapped in cooper cobra tires. This transformed the truck to a more aggressive street truck look which I loved. Recently I decided to pull the small block to upgrade it and found it was not worth putting the money into. I had bought a 1972 402 Big Block long block in hopes to build it one day and upon finding the small block not worth it I got the big block built by a reputable motor builder in my area. they knocked it out of the park and gave me a solid 434 BBC. I have been amassing some parts to put it in like new motor mounts and other swap parts. The motor should be ready to go in the truck in the next few weeks.
