A 53 year companion.

In April 1972 my father purchased for me, this 7 year old, low mileage '64 Pontiac Laurentian, my first car and high school graduation gift. It was built in Oshawa, Ontario equipped with a 283 2bbl V8, Powerglide automatic, two speed wipers with washers, back-up lamps, full wheel covers, whitewall tires, standard 3.08:1 rear axle ratio and a radio delete. Over the 53 years I have owned it I did a major restoration in 1986 and added dual master cylinder power brakes and power steering. I upgraded the engine to a period correct 300hp 327 with 2.5" exhaust manifolds and dual exhaust and also the transmission from a Powerglide to a TH350 in the mid 90's. A couple of years ago I installed a Sniper1 fuel injection system, which recently has been upgraded to a Sniper2. I just finished upgrading the old, leaky power assist steering with a complete CPP 500 series integral power steering kit. She has been like a trusted friend and I still love the sight, sound and feel of driving her.
