All in the Family

By: brian 04/09/2020

I inherited my 1967 Chevelle when my older brother passed away in 2016. What I inherited was a very nicely restored and optioned Malibu - 283/Powerglide, power steering, power brakes, buckets/console, factory air. My brother had purchased a built 454 that is equipped with an Edelbrock Performer RPM Top End kit that had never been started.

My younger brother and I did the engine swap along with a number of other upgrades that I wanted to do to make the car a handling driver - Ridetech Air Suspension system with Accuair e-level management, Moser Musclepak 12 bolt, Wilwood 4 piston disc brakes, Holley Terminator EFI, TCI Auto Streetfighter 700R4 overdrive transmission, Tanks Inc EFI fuel tank, US Mags Rambler wheels with Continental Extreme Contact tires along with new electrical, cooling, fuel lines, bolstered stock seats and new stereo.

I'm thrilled with the results - very streetable with the EFI, great cruiser especially the spirited on ramp maneuvers! I've put over 3,000 miles in 2 years with lots of smiles and thumbs up along the way.
