  • Vehicle Overview

1969 428 CobraJet. The heads, intake, cam, lifters, and timing chain are all a part of Edelbrock # 2044, The ring and pinion are Ford with 3.50 gears and 31 Strange spline axles. Original Ford 9" nodular housing. The suspension is factory except with 1” lowering springs and a 1” front sway bar. MSD with tach adapter was used. 67- 70 Flaming River steering gearbox. American Powertrain TREMEC TKO-600 5 Speed Transmission with 26 spline input and 31 spline output with .68 overdrive. Scott Drake subframe connectors and traction bars. 3" Borla dual exhaust, cross-over mufflers, and tips. Holley 750 Double Pumper 4779-10 3129 It'll pas anything but a gas station. MSD 8594 Distributor- Not so happy with - cap failed in less than 500 miles. I call MSD, poor service. I call you guys, the only solutions you had as here's the replacement part #. All the FE forms are furious. Not buying your solution. Carbon tip burn-out. I've been Hot-Rodding over 50 years. This is BS. Your guys better fix this or the competition will or give me a years supply of distributor caps. I think you guys are hiding something. I have ordered an aftermarket replacement. This restoration has been a long process. The car started life in West Texas. I saw it on the side of the road with a for sale sign on it in 1999. The body was in great shape, with no rust mainly due to the dry climate. All the sheet metal is original except the hood and door panels. I swapped the hood for a Shaker aftermarket. I have 3 hot rods. All with Holley Edellbrock parts. 77 Camaro, 81 vette and 69 Mach 1.

    Future Plans

EFI & Electric cooling fans... Maybe, maybe not. Maybe no more MSD parts.
