Vehicle Overview

This is my 1984 Corvette. The car has an interesting history. I’m the third owner but the original owner bought the car new and shipped it to Japan where they were stationed in the army. The car was originally gold but I’m not sure why it was repainted. I bought the car as a semi daily driver so I don’t put a lot of road miles on my off road prerunner truck. It’s mostly going to be a restomod project. So far I’ve changed the factory style 16” wheels with 17” American Racing Torq Thrusts and replaced the rusty exhaust with loud mufflers and quad tips.

Future Plans

I plan on adding some power to the car. Back in 1984, 205 horsepower was probably plenty, but the car would benefit from some more. I want to find another crossfire intake manifold and get it fully ported since no one makes an aftermarket manifold. I also plan on putting long tube headers and high flow heads on the engine. I might possibly add a mild cam to let it breathe. I also plan on getting the car repainted in a matte grey with a slight purple tint.
