Vehicle Overview

I bought a brand new 00' RT from the dealer when I was 18. Over the years I had a handful of nice rides but for some reason I missed the truck the most. So for my 40th my wife allowed me (hahaha) to fly from NY to Florida, pick this one up and drive it back. It had all kinds of sun damage and was three or four different shades of clear/top coat/ primer etc.. The only rust was under the top windshield weather stripping seal. I found a donor cab in Pennsylvania and re-skinned the roof panel at the factory spot welds. Over the summer I brought it down as far as needed, popped out a few small dents and sprayed two coats of epoxy primer on it. Since I want to drive it as is for a few years I sprayed it with plasti dip door jambs, between the bed and cab... everywhere as if I were to paint it traditionally.

Future Plans

Full Spintech headers, Y-pipe 9000 mufflers and components to weld up a custom system. Since I have a straight truck essentially in two coats of epoxy primer I plan on giving it a frame off legit paint job when I perform the 392 swap. I have a small family so I will have to save up slowly for a ew years in order to obtain the parts required. Its funny to se how slow it really is compared to how I remember mine in 2000 when I was 18. Still having a blast regardless!
