  • Vehicle Overview

I found this car in 1982. Bought it from the first owner. Pretty rough car with 100,000 miles on it. New fenders, quarters, floors. New paint stock color. Since then I have replaced the interior. Rebuilt the 4 speed toploader. Replaced the KH single piston front discs with Wilwood 4 piston. New brake lines. All new front end. Put in performance springs that dropped it an inch. 4 1/2 leaf mid eye leaf springs in the rear. All new shocks. Tri-Y headers. Larger exhaust pipes. My car sits about an inch lower than stock height. Went with BF Goodrich radials. Wider rear tires than the front. Had a knock in it this spring taking it out of storage. Turned out it had bad head gaskets on both sides. Engine rebuild time. Went with forged pistons, Edelbrock aluminum heads to go with the Cobra intake. The old carb was a problem belching black smoke. Replaced that carb with a new Holley Brawler 600 CFM with electric choke. Running about 325 horse power. Street race car for sure now. Handles like you would want an old Mustang to handle. And it stops when you want it to.

    Future Plans

Like to replace the rear drums with matching Wilwood rear disc kit. Some day I'll swap in a 5 speed. With the 3.89 9" rear end be nice to get the rpm's down on the highway.
