Vehicle Overview

Purchased in 2017, 1964 Chevrolet C20 farm truck that someone prior had done "hotrod" tricks to it in order to lower it. So, I am restomodding it. Drove the truck into the garage, and completely tore it down to the bare frame. Everything that attaches to the frame has been powder coated, the frame it self is epoxy coated, converted to disc brakes on all 4 corners. It has a SBC 350 with a mild cam, and using FiTech fuel injection. As it is fuel injected, I've put in a Boyd's Welding baffled aluminum fuel tank, and used all Earl's Plumbing products to build my fuel lines and brake lines. I also went with the Frostbite aluminum radiator. The transmission is still the Muncie SM420 4 Spd manual, because it is stout! But to help out on cruising highways, I upgraded the rear axle to a GM 14bolt with 3.73 gears and gov lock, in order to maintain the full floater style that original came on the truck. The suspension consists of 2" drop spindles plus 3" drop springs in the front and 4" drop springs in the rear. I went to CPP for the their drop kit. I went to Inland Truck to have the driveshaft refurbished to work with my application. The wheels are 22x8 custom billet aluminum wheels that look like the old rally style wheels from Chevrolet, but in 8-lug. Now I am working on fixing the issues that the previous owner hacked for a cab repair.

Future Plans

Purchase replacement panels to fix the bad body repair work of the previous owner... just getting my plan together to make sure I do it right the first time! My goal is to have the truck look like an old and patina-ish shop truck, but when you look beyond the skin, you realize that everything on this truck has been completely redone, but I also want to keep some of the 1960's goodness!
