Vehicle Overview

The Scottsdale that's not a Scottsdale, introducing The Notsdale. Originally a V6, base-model truck from the factory (Flint, MI GM Assembly), this C10 has been SBC swapped back in 2016. Long block crate motor from GM, standard 5.7 350ci V8. Top end features Edelbrock intake, and Edelbrock 4 bbl carb, the must have shiny alternator housing and air cleaner, and RetroAir A/C on the accessory. All stock internals and shallow sump/oil pan. Factory axles front and rear, 3.83 gears in the rear differential, trans. is an aftermarket automatic, 700R4 fitted with a B&M gated floor shifter. Stock discs in front, drums rear. Body is filler free, some small bubbling of paint and clear coat is nearly thinned through, no rust and solid on all four corners, including rockers and cab corners. The interior has been redressed with (nearly) correct trim details and exterior badges, delivering on all the mid-range features of a factory Scottsdale.

Future Plans

Likely will eventually look into either an EFI conversion for the SBC, or a second motor swap to LS and 5 speed.
