  • Vehicle Overview

In the world of old American Iron we have two main camps: Hot Rods and Muscle Cars. Hot rods being the old school self made performance machines inspired by the pre and post war jalopies. Then the muscle cars are the factory performance machines that Detroit pumped out in the 60’s and early 70’s. These lines have been blurred in recent years and I believe it is in part because of this popular model that fits nicely in the center of the vin diagram of these two camps. The 1955 Chevy Sedan equipped with the quintessential American engine: Small Block Chevy. In that vain of the 1955 Chevy being just right to unite the kingdoms of horsepower, most people searching for a project have to find a balance between two serious factors: affordability and work needed. Sometimes we lean too far the cheap way and end up with a rust bucket that takes us too long to build and we miss out on prime driving days. Then the other side is you spend so much money that you don’t get to build the car and make it our own. This particular car turned out to be just the perfect balance that I could have. It has only one cancerous spot on the whole car about the size of a quarter, but it was missing the engine and transmission. It is the perfect ‘55 for our next build.

    Future Plans

This car is gonna be old school through and through. Small block Chevy, Holley double pumper, steel wheels, and a four speed trans!
