    1972 Datsun 620 shortbed 5.3 engine. Found this truck in the California high desert on a ranch neglected for years. after looking it over i could tell from modifications made by someone over the years they had tried to cram a v8 in it at some point. My original plans for the truck were to keep it pretty much stock and drive it with the L16 4 cylinder that came in it from the factory. Realizing how god awful slow it was and under powered I knew it has to be swapped. Around the same time I attended LS Fest West for the first time in 2019 and thats when the gears started to turn.
