This is my 85 Blazer. I bought a donor truck. It is a 2007 Chevy 2500. The 2007 Chevy has a Jasper engine. The engine is a LQ9 it has 35000 miles on it. The transmission in the 2007 truck is a 4L80E. I am putting this engine and transmission in my Blazer. I hired a mechanic to do the swap for me. He will be doing a frame off resotation of everything to do with the undercarriage and drive train during the swap. I am looking for all the parts and pieces and paint he will need to do the swap. The Blazer has a 6" lift on it and I would like it to drive nice going down the road and also have good off roading capabilities. some things I have identified that I need to buy: Radiator - Gas Tank - Steering Wheel - Rear disc brake conversion - Steering gear box and plate - Rockslides - rollbar - Door kit so the doors shut better. Body bushings and motor mounts. and Any kits or anything you can think of to make it drive down the road better.
