  • Vehicle Overview

I picked up this car in December of 2017, in the outskirts of Indianapolis. It was completely bone stock, didn't run, and basically well on its way to becoming a parts car. Luckily, I was able to scoop it up for cheap, loaded it up on the trailer and took it home. I gave it a full tune-up and service, replaced the brakes, installed a new battery and got it back on the road. So far, the mods have been pretty light, installing only a set of E3 coil packs, Raybestos entry-level brake pads, rotors, calipers went on. A JLT cold-air intake was installed, and I have a Borla cat back still in the box ready to go on. Cosmetically, smoked headlights and a Mach 1 front spoiler and Mach 1 grille from American Muscle just went in.

    Future Plans

Coyote swap is a big one, and a 6-speed swap, for sure! A few BMR suspension parts are going in, including a set of lowering springs rear control arms and a few other little things. Once the engine swap is complete, a set of long-tube headers will be in place. The ultimate goal is to make it a street-finely road racer.

When the clutch throw out bearing breaks into pieces on my 2001 Mustang GT, I decided to obtain a T56 Magnum 6 speed with 0.5 6th gear (TUET11011). The only item out of the ordinary was building my own transmission crossmember support bracket between the car hard point to the transmission. When I install a T56 Magnum on the 2001 Cobra, I will obtain a transmission kit that has the extended transmission crossmember from the 2003 & 2004 Cobra, for the Ford T56 version (TR6060).
