1964 El Camino found for sale by my son on a back road in Oklahoma. No rust on the red dirt caked frame or inside body. Some minor surface rust where the paint cracked. Strong 283 with 4 barrel Rochester carb., three speed Saginaw column shift transmission positrack rear end as evidenced by tire marks on drive. A number of 50 year old car things and no AC. Bought in California and driven to Oklahoma. Originally owned by a dealer.
Retire the Rochester in favor of Holley EFI system. Install AC. Keep 3 on the tree - most folks can’t drive one so excellent theft deterrent. Possibly change distributor to HEI. New tires repaint wheels. Eventually repaint car.
