  • Vehicle Overview

Some of the modifications: 4 wheel disc brakes with hydro boost, 440 bored 40 over, 10 to 1 pistons, 440 aluminum heads port and polished, headers, 1999 dodge sebring front seats. Bought the Charger in 2000 in Woodland, Ca. We drove it home using a 5 gal. gas can in the front seat as a fuel tank. It was a matching numbers 383 four barrel car with 727 automatic transmission. We started this project in August of 2008. Never having restored a car and not being very mechanically inclined, I decided to teach myself how to rebuild this Charger. After all it looked easy on T.V., only takes a week or two - a month or two at most. After 8.5 years are with lots of help from old and new friends, new skill sets, an expanded vocabulary, diminished bank account, lots of stories, and a great respect for those who restore cars all the time. We were on the road and going to local car shows meeting lots of great new people and having a lot of fun.I also have new definitions for the 3 Ps - patients, perseverance, and persistence (stubbornness). It's been a great trip and learning experience.
