1969 Dodge Dart

Vehicle Overview

I purchased this Dart in 1989. Since then, it has been a test bed for all kinds of performance parts. Over the years, the modifications have resulted in the 1/8th mile times being reduced by over a second and a half while using the same 340 block and .557-inch lift camshaft. The Dart runs low 7s in the 1/8th and low 11s in the quarter. The front suspension is comprised of QA1 components with the stock k-frame and torsion bars. The rear suspension has Cal-Trac split monoleafs with their bars. The rear end is an 8 3/4-inch with 4.10 gears. Rather small 26x9-inch Hoosier tires have propelled the Dart to 1.50 60-foot times. The front and rear bumpers, both fenders, and the hood are fiberglass from U.S. Body Source. I installed these parts in 1990. The Dart was painted in 1985 Corvette white in 1991. Although I do not race the Dart as much as I once did, I have raised dozens and dozens of winner trophies over the years. With the Dart, I have won multiple track championships.
