  • Vehicle Overview

I've owned this Camaro for 40 years now, purchased it for $3K while stationed in Phoenix at Luke AFB. As an Arizona car it had and still has no rust and all the sheet metal is original with no body work. The paint job is going on 30 years now. It was done with Imron paint which was popular back back in the 80's but has since been outlawed due to it's dangerous and hazardous content. 4 years ago I parked it and began a major rebuild, which included the 383 stroker, a new TH400 trans, 3:55 posi, new axles, leaf springs, driveshaft and brakes in rear, new wilwood calipers, rotors, drop spindles and tubular control arms in front. 2.5" dual exhaust with flowmaster mufflers. 17" American Racing Torq Thrusts with Falken tires. Also replaced the headlight vacuum system with Detroit Speed electric motors. Exterior lighting is all LED except the headlights. All the interior was replaced minus the headliner which is still original and healthy. Added a B&M mega shifter in the console before B&M was offering them for sale. I like the way my install looks better as I was able to keep the factory cherrywood trim in the console around the shifter. Latest addition was the Holley Sniper EFI. I used the in tank pump and added the Hyperspark distributor and coil. That's currently where I'm at now. Haven't had a chance to drive it yet as I'm fixing a few bugs (burnt plug boot & header gasket leak) but I'm hoping to have it on the road before summer ends.
