  • Vehicle Overview

1951 Ford F1. We have had it for 12 years now and call it The Mutt. I bought it to give my son and I something to work on together. It was a turn key truck I bought in 2008. It had a new 355 Chevy a rebuilt TH-400 transmission, a rebuilt 55’ Chevy car rearend with a posi and 3.08 gears. Everything worked down to the air conditioning. We started going to car shows with it and they didn’t want us to enter it. It wasn’t cool back then, to have an unfinished car in a show, but after a few shows it was a hit. The car show thing was getting boring after the first couple years, so we went to a Hot Rod Drags. We ran it and only ran in the 13’s, but won the burnout contest. So my son and I went back to my shop and added a tunnel ram with two Holleys. When we went back to the drag strip, we ran in the 12’s. So it’s been twelve years later and has been all over the country street racing and No Prep Racing. Been on TV many times, on many shows we are followed in many countries now and plan on racing and traveling more. We are leading at one of our local tracks in Outlaw Pro Mods and a win too. We still street drive this all over and have put 400 miles on Route 66 too. All the turn signals work including the high beams, horn, on board air compressors. We have won the No Trailer Race too, that’s a 68 mile multi stop street race in OKC. We’ve raced the Road Kill guys and their Draguar and lined up against the 55’ Blasphemi and went undefeated at their show in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The list of wins is in the hundreds. We have many wins against the Street Outlaw guys and gals. We continue to make her quicker every year and have tons of memories and fans from all over the country.

    Future Plans

Well I am in the middle of switching to the Holley Dominator, but as far as anything else I cannot think of what else to do. It has a 388 SBC with twin 76 turbos, a Power Glide and a Ford 9” rear end with 3.50 gears. It also has the stock matching cab and frame. Oh, we have a NHRA 25.1 Cert cage for safety. We have run 26, 28’s, 29.5’ and big tires too, that are 32X16.5’s but mostly run the small tire classes but have raced many big tires too. It’s stock engine location, stock firewall and floors too. The whole body is steel so to keep it real. What else do I need?
