  • Vehicle Overview

I bought this car from my dad and he and my girlfriend have been Working on it with me. It was my daily driver from 2012-2019. We just pulled the original motor; it had been leaking/burning lots of oil, coolant, and transmission fluid (original TH350 trans) for a long time (often leaving drip trails And annoying my girlfriend’s neighbors). The car is currently in an off-white primer but has some body damage that needs to be addressed (light rear end + very old tires when I got it + rain) once I get the running gear squared away.

    Completed Modifications

    Exhaust (2)
    Interior (2)
    Suspension/Steering/Chassis (1)

    Future Plans

I’m planning a mild (street) rebuild of the original 350 motor with aluminum Promaxxx Freedom Patriot heads, new pistons, mild cam, Edelbrock RPM intake...carb selection is to be determined. I like the small primaries/big secondaries of the OE quadrajet...might rebuild it. I’d like to swap the trans for a 200-4r which is very close to the same dimensions as the original TH350 I’ve been using. The 200-4r will give me an extra gear with overdrive for better highway mpg. I bought a full exhaust kit for the car from Flowmaster which I’ll be installing. Stainless steel, ceramic coated long tube headers( 814110 Flowmaster Scavenger Series Elite) and stainless steel 2.5” dual exhaust with an H pipe setup running through a cross flow Flowmaster 80 (Flowmaster 817104 American Thunder). The car was originally the “medium red” factory color, although it was painted midnight blue and then stripped and primed when I got it. Some bodywork necessities will require redoing the primer and then painting...I’m debating repainting the original medium red factory color or another factory correct option (though not original to the car), antique white.
