  • Vehicle Overview

I purchased this 2006 Dodge Charger R/T in the spring of 2016. The color of this car is a one year only launch color. It is called Cool Vanilla. On the interior I have added the factory Nav radio. I also added the factory satellite module and roof antenna. I converted the headlight switch to the auto headlights. I added the factory Uconnect system with the Uconnect rear view mirror. On the exterior of the car I have added a black stripe, a set of Scat Pack Challenger wheels, 2008 and up painted grill with black mesh inserts, projection headlights, front lip spoiler, rear diffuser, and a hood from a SRT8 Charger. The Brembo brakes and suspension are also from a SRT8 Charger. The Shocks are Bilstein. The rear differential is a limited slip 3.73 Getrag from a manual transmission 2012 Challenger. The exhaust system was changed to a set of Dynatech long tube Headers, Flowmaster Converters and a Magnaflow Cat-Back muffler system with the front muffler deleted. The Transmission has a B&M deep transmission Pan, a Karma Racing TCM and a Pro Torque 2800 stall Converter. The Engine has been completely rebuilt with MDS delete Hellcat lifters, 20 over Wiseco 11 to 1 pistons, Manley H beam Rods, a HHP/BES custom grind Comp Cam, a BBK 85mm Throttle Body, 180 degree Thermostat, a Professional Products SFI spec 18-1 Balancer, and a Billet Catch Can from Speedlogix. The engine was tuned by High Horse Performance with a Diablosport Trinity tuner. The car runs and drives Great!! I am planning on attending the Moparty in Kentucky this fall and see how well it runs on the 1/4 mile.

    Future Plans

A one piece Driveshaft from the Driveshaft Shop and a SRT8 Charger steering gear and pump.

What did you have to do to get the Getrag swap to work?
      • It is actually not difficult to do. You will need to add a thick washer between the box frame that the diff bolts to and the Getrag on the front bolt. The washer will need to be between 3/16 and 1/4 inch thick to prevent the diff from contacting the top of the box frame. You will need the Getrag axles and you will need the rear hubs from a 2010 and up Charger, 300, or Challenger. A 392 Challenger rear driveshaft coupler w/ pink bolts. A Diablosport Predator or Trinity to change the gear ratio.
