    78 Phoenix body on a 73 4x4 short-wide GMC frame. 96 Gen V 454 HO motor bored .100 over and balanced. Brand new 850 Quickfuel carburetor. Heads have been machined and everything gone through, except for springs. Turbo 350 transmission with a 3500 stall and 208 transfer case. 10 Bolt front and rear end, both welded solid, with 4.10 gearing. Homemade Drive lines, had to cut and resize to fit new motor and body. Roll cage, racing seats, and harnesses. New Tachometer, Oil Pressure, and Water Temperature gauges. 15 Gallon fuel cell and new Holley Red fuel pump. This car started off as an idea, while both vehicles rotted away in a pasture. We decided to take 2 halves and make a whole. Most of this car was custom built in my backyard so that my dream could come true. I am not done yet, but it runs, drives, and is a good time.

    Future Plans

    Turbo 400 with a Trans-Brake. 2.5 Ton Front and Rear ends. 52”x16” tractor tires. Hydraulic steering. This is the list of parts I have and still need to put on, to finish my vision for The Dirty Bird. When I blow up my 454, I plan on building another with a 1071 Blower and just keep getting faster from there.
