  • Vehicle Overview

True to original build for the rare Monroe Handler mustang as initially launched in June 77 hot rod magazine. The car represents the best of luxury and performance of everything in the mustang IIs. I’ve tried to stick with period correct original build sponsored parts right down to the original am/fm/8 Track/cb Motorola radio. It ideally will be a time machine of parts used only from the original time that the car was built as a IMSA series racer. This has been a slow build to create due to the obscure parts needed to get the details right.

    Completed Modifications

    Future Plans

Getting drive train put back in for the immediate future. Will get the complete t-top roof grafted on, with a five lug conversion and posi rear end with Cragar SS wheels. Will go with the original paint scheme from the magazine advertisements.

This is NOT an original Monroe Handler but a cheap knock off kit, the original car in this article was NOT built as a race car as the author states, it was a Billboard Cobra with the green stripes. This particular car has been setting for decades unfinished and will probably remain unfinished. Total fraudulent write up.
