  • Vehicle Overview

The truck was owned by both of my grandparents. It was special ordered by my dad’s father. When he passed away from cancer in 2010 the family sold the truck to my mom’s father. He owned the truck until 2017 when he passed away from cancer. He left me the truck in his will knowing how much I wanted it. The truck sat idle in my driveway covered for over 3 years. After finding out about an affair and going through a nasty divorce as a result, I turned my attention to the truck. It started by pulling the tired 350 engine and replaced with a built 383 stroker topped off with a Quick fuel 750 cfm carburetor with mechanical secondaries. Followed by upgrading the fuel system. I installed a 19 gallon fuel cell mounted in the spare tire location. I installed a Holley 135 GPM fuel pump, braided fuel lines, quick fuel bypass regulator. For the drive train I swapped out the stock 308 gears and installed Richmond 4:10s with a Yukon locking differential. After having issues with traction, I went with a set of Calavert racing drag links. With the added traction, the stock 700R4 began showing its age and I called up American drivetrain and went with a Tremec T5 manual transmission conversion. The truck was incredibly fast but like all things, it wasn’t enough so I decided to install a weiand 144 blower.

    Future Plans

Installing a full roll cage, lowering / updating suspension. New wheels and tires (drag radials), brake system upgrade, and paint.
