Vehicle Overview
1989 Mustang LX Hatchback, original 5.0 5 speed car. I bought this car in January of 1990 as a factory demo. It’s seen many 1/4 mile passes over the years and has evolved from high 13’s to high 10’s with a naturally aspirated carbureted pump gas 327 stroker. The current combo should run in the mid 9’s naturally aspirated. it has a 358 cube 9.2” deck SVO block, 14:1 JE pistons, Canfield aluminum heads, 700”+ lift Cam Motion solid roller cam, Jessel shaft rockers, Edelbrock Super Victor, Holley HP 950, Accufab 1 3/4” to 1 7/8” stepped headers into a Dr Gas 3 1/2” to 3” X pipe and Dynomax Bullet mufflers. It has a G Force pro shifted T-5, McLeod Soft Loc clutch, Pro 5.0 shifter, 8.8 with 4.30 gears, spool and 33 spline axles. The wheels are Weld 15x3 1/2 and 15x10 Drag Stars with Hoosier Quick Time Pros. The car still wears its original Dark Shadow Blue Paint.
Future Plans
Install electric fan, finish wiring, dyno test and start enjoying at the track.
