  • Vehicle Overview

Purchased this 1940 Chevy Master Deluxe in 1989 and converted it to a street rod. As I lost interest in cruising the streets, I converted it to a full race car. Installed a 9" Ford rear end, 4;56 gears with a full spool prepared by Currie Enterprises. I have a 4 link set up by Chris Alston Chassisworks. Front end suspension is a Mustang II. Motor is a 350cu.in, small block Chevy 4 bolt main, bored 30 over, Brodix aluminum heads, Cola steel crank, 14:1 compression pistons with a Chet Herbert roller cam. I run a Holley 750cfm race 4 barrel carburetor with an Edelbrock manifold. I have 2 Holley fuel pumps for gas and NOS setup, MSD box and coil and a Meziere electric water pump. Transmission is a Turbo 400 with a Hurst linkage. With the exception of the fiberglass front end, the rest of the body is original steel. Gauges are VDO. Body and paint done by L.A. Street Customs in North Hollywood, California. 8 point roll cage built by Morse Muffler in Burbank, California.
