    I pulled the car out of a barn in Dexter Iowa in 2016 and did a full rebuild of the original 396. I wound out trading the car for a race truck shortly after. A choice I’d come to regret instantly. In 2019 a month before Goodguys Heartland Nationals I found her again on Facebook marketplace. I rushed out and pulled out the cash to go by her back. It’s not too often you get to by your favorite car back. This time she’s here to stay.

    Future Plans

    I have future plans to continue work on the new motor. I’m currently building a blown 502 big block for her. I also have a new transmission coming into play along the way. Also I have plans for a new rear end setup with a narrowed 12 bolt posi with 3:96 gears. The car will also be getting tubs as well as a reinforced frame and roll cage.
