    • Vehicle Overview

    1 of 100 Excalibur Phaetons produced in 1973 by the Stevens Automotive company. I have enjoyed this car for the past 20 years. The paint is all original, the wheels are 15" Dayton wires with Vouge Tyres (I have the original Boranni wire wheels stored). The engine is a Chevrolet BB 454 with big valve aluminum heads, roller camshaft, and forged rotating assembly mated to a TH400 transmission. The 4 port into 3 port exhaust manifolds with 6, 3" exhaust pipe system is fully functional with Sweet Thunder chambered mufflers in the side pipes that exit the exhaust through twin 2.25" tailpipes. She sounds powerful and obnoxiously loud.

    Future Plans

    I would like to upgrade to a modern fuel injection system, aluminum radiator, and a 4spd overdrive automatic transmission. The exhaust system is not exactly eardrum friendly so I am also considering designing a set of 2.5" tailpipes with resonators to quite the exhaust note down a few decibels.
