The new Flowmaster American Thunder cat-back exhaust system for the 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK is perfect for the person looking for maximum performance and off-road ground clearance. This system replaces the factory transverse muffler and relocates the Super HP-2 muffler behind the factory catalytic converter, providing a moderate to aggressive sound level. The system features a mandrel-bent 2.50-inch stainless steel tailpipe with a 3.00-inch polished stainless steel tip tucked up high under the rear bumper for maximum clearance. Fits both 2 and 4 door models with either the 3.8L or 3.6L engines. Because the tailpipe is tucked up so high, an aftermarket metal bumper is recommended. The exhaust system is covered by our Lifetime Limited Warranty and includes all necessary parts and hardware for an easy installation you can do at home.

Took Saturday and Sunday but it's on and I like it

Okay, to clarify; it took me all of Saturday and half of Sunday to remove my old Jeep exhaust. I did it myself and being an older redneck if that makes any difference; I did it in my gravel driveway using any relevant tools I could find along with a bit of ingenuity. Having, although irrelevant, a bit of vertigo didn't make things easier. Every time I'd come out from under the Jeep I'd have to sit there and clear my head first. What a relief to finally get the very last piece of the old exhaust off, up near the catalytic converter. Installation was actually quite easy. It would be nice if Holley/Flowmaster included two (2) more of those rubber isolator hangers in the package, so you could essentially destroy if needed in your case the old ones. I ordered one from the factory which I won't need, but if I need one next time I'll have it on hand. I did in my case manage to keep from harm 3 of the four hangers. (Now to be clear, you'll need 3 of these rubber isolators and a Jeep Wrangler has 4 on the factory install. You can destroy one if you need to, but Holley includes only one in the package) Here is my only bit of dissatisfaction with ordering this from Holley. In my case, perhaps not in yours, they were more careful than I'd like and made me send a copy of my drivers license before they'd charge my card and ship the exhaust. You can order this same item from Summit Racing (very same part number) and can skip this hassle. I guess I could be happy that they were being careful of fraud, but given I wanted this sooner than later, I had been going about my business the rest of the day and came back at night to find the email stating they needed this further verification. But all in all, I'm happy. Now my question which I'll inquire later is do they make the same resonator/muffler in polished stainless as the one you get is black. I don't think Black Mufflers Matter
