Great little tuner

I've only had it a few weeks but so far I like it. Only made a few adjustments. I used the 93 octane tune, disabled the Advance fuel management, turned up the throttle sensitivity to 10. I was disappointed that I couldn't adjust transmission shift points and firmness.

2017 Silverado 5.3 wake up

I was really not happy with the performance of my Chevy. I drive 60 miles a day too work and back. Country roads and I-10 traffic.I was at the point were I was considered buying a Ford150. I know I know. I installed the Diablo around 3 weeks ago. MAN I tell you WOW this thing really woke up. It was really easy to install. Just make sure that it is updated first. If you plan on installing over the weekend. When you get it in take the time to hook it up to your PC for updates. Super easy!!!! Now with this installed I’m getting better performance and gas mileage then I was in my 05. With the tune I’m still averaging 18 mpg before it was 19 -20mpg a small loss that I can live with. And that’s with canceling the AFM cylinder drop. Now I have a V-8 again. I did the 93 tune on mine. It does however come with multiple tunes on it to suit different needs. Check it out on you tube. I highly recommend getting this product.

It's OK

I bought the tuner about 400 miles ago, I didn't see much for improvement right away, nor have I seen much in the 400+ miles driven. My 0-60 time is still the same, there is still a little noticeable lag on my accelerator pedal (although there was SOME improvement). The only real noticeable difference is that the speed governor is gone (thank goodness). 98 MPH is cruising speed on Texas toll roads, so I'm glad I can go faster now. Used the 87 octane tune. I was expecting a really big difference and I did not see that.

2018 Silverado 5.3L (L83)

I purchased this I3 about 2 weeks ago. Firstly, I had to purchase an additional $40 key when it should have came ready to go. Secondly, when i finally got to install the 87 tune, its performance was slower than stock tune. So really, i got a really expensive AFM/DOD delete and speed limiter removal. Thirdly, stock ECU tune swaps from 87 to E85 on its own. Once you tune, that no longer works, you would have to always swap tune per type of fuel.. if your looking just for gas saving for this type of truck/ engine its good because it decreases performance. If you looking for performance, i guess its good at 93 tune... but if you run e85 fuel on stock tune, youll get much more performance without doing anything but filling up the tank for the L83 engine.

Not as good as I had hoped

It's a tuner..... Had a lot of issues when it first arrived. Finally got it to work. Not really happy with the supplied tunes. Main reason I wanted it was to disable DOD/AFM system and speed limiter, so I run factory time with modified parameters. I would have not purchased if I knew more about it.

Happy So Far

I bought this about a month ago, and so far I'm happy with it. It's not perfect, but it works as advertised. A few complaints I have is how cheaply made the device seems and the instructions provided seem a little lacking. Upon initially tuning my truck I kept receiving a message such as "the ECM on the vehicle has detected updates are needed before tuning", but I had already checked for and uploaded current updates prior to tuning. I finally figured out after about 30 minutes of messing with it that I needed to move my truck closer to my router to receive a better connection over my WiFi, and all of sudden I had it tuned within a couple of minutes. Other than what I mentioned above, I'm am very pleased with how my truck runs with AFM/DoD disabled(still gets 18-20 MPG) and the throttle boost set to 10% on the 87 octane tune and stock TCM tune. I bought the platinum for the custom tuning capability and plan in the near future to have Diablew send me a custom tune after I do some data logging. Lastly I'd like to add that the price doesn't seem too bad when you think of what all it does. It has the capability of a code reader, a Pedal Commander, a standalone AFM/DoD disabler. Plus it has pre-loaded tunes, custom tuning capability, data logging, tire/gear editing, and the capability of tuning other supported makes/models of vehicles for a licensing fee.

I didn’t expect too much for what I spent but wow what a difference! I seen instant results just from the throttle response. The gains in power are well worth the money! Make sure you are close to your WiFi and everything will go smoothly.

Bought it . Unboxed it. Updated it. Went to put the diablo tune in, with firm shift and turn the afm off. Bad read. Bad read . Multiple attempts and bad read code comes up. This was a week about ... emailed tech support . 1 week later .. still no response. I have hope for the product but definitely not impressed with the service .

I just received this Saturday. and wow what a difference this product has made in my 2018 Silverado 1500 4WD with dual 3 Inch exhaust conversion an Quad cab truck, first I tried the 87 octane tune and Immediately felt a difference in the power of my truck , so yesterday I tried the 91 octane tune, AFM off, Speed limiter off, Hard shift on trans, 25 percent throttle adjust Wow is all I can say!! this really woke up my already quick truck. Now when I step on it you can really hear the throttle body open up and my truck just roars, Had some jerk in a F250 yesterday trying to get a race out of me So I stepped on it in seconds he was eating my dust! If you are looking for a new tuner for your Silverado look no further this is the one to buy

I bought this tuner a month ago and it was not working out of the box. I downloaded the update before use, and it needed some kind of vehicle unlock installed. I was able to get it right the next day, it sucks that tech support doesn’t have evening hours, I had to wait until the next day after they opened, so I took off work to get it done. but, I’m very pleased with the tuner now. Very easy to use

Definitely has a little more low end torque especially with npp in closed position. No more 4 cylinder mode which caused motor and transmission issues eventually. One Disappointment is it had no tranny shift option where I read that it did.

As a lifelong Gearhead I can’t leave anything alone. After a LOT of research I bought this tuner to gain a little power and kill AFM and play a little down the road. The instructions were lacking when it came to activating the ECM unlock code. After doing all my initial updates, I hooked to the truck and tried a flash. The tuner said “nope, need more updates”. So after using Update Agent a couple more times it downloaded some new files that mentioned “GM” in the name. The program then stated I needed to wait 1-2 hours to get the license activated and that I would receive an email when it was active. Never did get an email but after an hour I decided to give it a try and was able to get in. There are a lot of videos out on the I3 and they were a big help. I loaded the 87 octane tune, disabled AFM and set throttle boost to 5%. I later changed to 10%. Gained a lot of response and a little more power. Truck runs out great, pulls harder through the gears and does not feel like a detuned vehicle trying to get MPG’s. Dropping AFM might have lost me a tenth on MPG. The 8 speed trans is not supported by the tuner (knew that going in) and it does not even give you an option to flash the TCM. It was not affected at all. This tuner is easy to use once you get everything updated and downloaded. It is capable of doing a lot of things that could really screw things up if you don’t know what you’re doing. Do your research!

I bought this tuner about a month ago and went through with downloading updates. Plugged into my vehicle and found that being a 2017 GM vehicle it required an additional $40 update. I purchased the update and updated it on my tuner but it still says my vehicle requires an update. I am currently awaiting a response as to whether or not I can get a refund. Definitely would not recommend for a 17 GM vehicle

I've had this product for about a month and it is too complicated. I just need a tuner to delete AFM and speed limiter, the process for doing this is load a tune then go back and modify parameters to accomplish this. I want everything stock other than those two parameters.

ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE!

So i decided to do some mild performance improvements on my 2017 GMC Sierra 5.3L V8. Started with a K&N Cold Air Intake. Then I did a Borla true dual exhaust. Next was to tune it. O.K. keep in mind EVERY SINGLE THING ON MY TRUCK WORKED PERFECTLY PRIOR TO! Every single tune on this pizza tuner kills my cruise control. AWESOME! So after many MANY hours on the phone with them they send me a "custom tune" to fix the cruise issue. O.K.! Well it was only good for that specific tune I was running at the time. SERIOUSLY? So all of the other tunes are useless. AND the so called "milage tune"? EINT! Oh whoopee I got a whole whopping 1.5 mile increase. SO there solution was to send me a lesser model which according to them is a more "stable platform" than the higher end models like I have. O.K. once AGAIN SERIOUSLY? WHY would you have a cheaper model be more stable???? So now I get to play revert it all back to factory and then try and download a different tuner and test the tune to see IF it's suppose to work as intended. Good thing they aren't paying me by the hour because it would really be getting expensive for them at this point. Would I recommend this product to a friend, even enemy? NO! If they can't rewrite the tunes to include cruise control when it has BEEN brought to there attention then what good are they really? So I paid 495 dollars for a tuner that I can only use 1 tune on it that will allow me to have cruise control. Gee who needs something like that in a very expensive truck. SMH!

Not Impressed with Diablo Canned Tune

Had a terrible time getting the tuner to work. Had to call tech support 3 times only to find out I needed them to provide me with a back up tune. I was almost ready to return the tuner but before I could return it they sent me an email telling me to try the install one more time. It worked and I installed the easy tune "Diablo" tune, 93 octane. I was super excited to try it out only to be underwhelmed by the performance upgrade. It seems my throttle response is actually slower and it is .3 seconds slower on my 0-60. This may be a good device for an older car but for a brand new motor it seemed to do nothing. Probably going to go back to factory tuner.

Received the tuner about 2 weeks ago. Initially it stated that I needed to unlock my ECM so I purchased the required license. Probably should be included with the initial price, but whatever. My ECM was not supported so I read the ECM and sent it to tech assist. Got the new ECM calibration and installed it and tuned for mpg. So far I went from 14mpg @ 60mph to 18mpg. Highway @80mph increased from 11mpg to 13mpg. Doing the math I should recoup my investment within about 10,000 miles. Not bad. Also increased the throttle response by 10%. So much better! Very happy with the tuner and customer service.
