Aside from all the obstacles I ran into when I first got it the handheld was alright as for it just took a while to load different pages but now it’s been about 3-4 months and now my handheld barely wants to turn on when I plug it in, it’s never been damaged or dropped or nothing I keep it kept up in a safe place and I also can even load the page to connect to wifi the whole device freezes and I have to unplug and plug it in, I am not able to get to the wifi connections at all now, when it does work you can definitely feel the difference after a few miles

purchased 1st week of Nov 2020. Directly from Tech Sales over the phone. So far I have learned how to go from my pc to my 2011 Ram 1500 5.7 hemi truck. The tuner likes to become frozen or stuck on a screen during the tuning process. Many emails, calls etc. Yet to get the opportunity to see what this tuner can possibly do. Remaining. Hopeful. Glad I still have the Superchips f5 just in case.

I bought the intune I3, about a month ago, and absolutely love it, it really wake your car up big time, espy when u get a custom tune, a lot of people say bolt on don't do anything, I strongly disagree, if u get them properly tunes, with the Diablo, your car will turn to a absolute best, I have a Dodge Challenger SXT Plus 3.6, I lot of people say they are slow, they are not even from the factory they are faster then most V6 cars on the road, before the Diablo my best 0-60 was a 5.6 with juat my bolt on, and the right condition, after my custom tune on the Diablo, my best 0-60 now is a 5.2, which is right on par with a stock 5.7 hemi 0-60 times, so highly recommend it , check out my 0-60 video

I've had troubles from the time I opened the box. First time I plugged it in hit ok on the first prompt and it froze. I left it alone for 30 minutes before unplugging it. Finally it worked then it wouldn't load the full menu just the first option. Finally I got it to update now it won't turn on. My biggest issue is the customer support. I'm on hold with them right now for 32 minutes now. I even emailed. I spent alot of money on this

So far it has been a lot of fun, the throttle response really makes a difference in my 2010 challenge auto with cai, cat back. The shift firmness and mid range Torque really help me get down the road. I will probably bye some wider and stickier tire to help with traction. Only have the 93 octane tune on it so far. Can’t wait to fine tune in.

I bought this i3 for a good buddy. He wanted more power out of the 5.7 hemi in his tool box pickup. After a test drive he claimed it worked. He was complaining that the original tune was not giving him enough torque pulling hills. He says that the towing tune fixed his problem.

This little thing has been one of favorite purchases for my 06 Chrysler 300c. For the longest time the car felt sluggish and the throttle felt like it lagged getting on the highway and pulling away from lights and the i3 really woke this car up. After flashing a tune, which the whole process is really easy and pretty straight forward, onto the PCM the car feels much more responsive and the added power is amazing. Also having the option to buy other licenses is pretty great if you own more than one vehicle you would like to use this tuner on. I'd definitely recommend this tuner for anyone who wants more power and tuning options for their Mopar.

Hello Everybody I tried out the i3 on my caliber srt4. I felt more horsepower and torque by using octane91 or octane93 tune but after 2500 U/min the engine starts with misfires and suddenly lost power. The engine light went on. With the scan tool i was checking the written faults. There were several misfires, problems with the wastegate and also with the charger. I deleted the fault, rebooted everything and was modifying the boosts on more than -30%. There were less misfires but the light still went on. Now it shows me „a underboost condition“... I realized that it struggles when there is more than 0.9 bar of boost. What else can i do? Is it because of we only have fuel with 95 or 98 octane? Or is it because of an inition issue? I need help to program it.... Thanks a lot for your support and experiance. Greetings Bernhard

I love the way the canned tunes make the truck feel, better throttle response more firm shifts! The tuner crashes every time i try to disable traction control, and im disappointed that the part throttle upshifts option only controls the first 3 gears of my 6 speed transmission. 2012 RAM 1500 5.7 HEMI

I think this was a good addition to my cold air intake. However, for a company that is know for tuners, the support, instructions and expectations set were very poor. It took me 3 days to get the thing to work and never was able to get a hold of anyone at the company for help. Thankfully people make videos. Glad it turned off MDS.

Product is advertised and when speaking to customer service told this product works with my vehicle. When plugged in product reads” no applications for this vehicle”. I bought similar product from sister company Edge Products and same results. Please get it correct and stop providing false info.

No internet and doesn't update via PC (tried 2)

After waiting for five days for the product to arrive I spent nearly 10 hours attempting to update the device. Neither of my two computers detects the device when it is plugged in and the device doesn't detect any Wi-Fi networks. Not only that, but it repeatedly freezes up when plugged into the OBDII, or it seems like it freezes up as it takes well over 5 minutes to load up most menus. I called customer support twice, taking over thirty minutes to get through hold each time, and they couldn't help much at all, nothing on them, but I have received a broken device out of the box. I am glad that it didn't brick my ECU. I will be applying for a refund if it happens to the replacement. Extremely disappointing for a Holley product, especially for over $400. I would be surprised if it cost more than $50 to manufacture one of these.

I’m using this on a 2500 5.7 4X4 with cold air and exhaust. Like the extra kick and drivability. Down side is it takes a good half hour to program but worth the wait.

First off I don't really write alot of reviews I work on cars that are broke and do mods on my personal cars cams ,heads rearends etc.So that being said I really didn't expect that much of a change with a 93 can tune, Well I was wrong.Here I am dumpping money into my 78 Z28 (which is a great car and fast) and low and behold my Challenger with the 5.7 hemi has woke up and is now a runner and I didn't even get dirty. Programing was easy took my time even did it in nice clothes LOL. Throtle respons is great and shut off the MDS. I got the intune i3 Platinum for a cam swap down the road but my next thing is wider tires in the rear to hook up better because now it needs them. Very happy and lucky Wow what a different car sure feels like more than 15 to 20 HP and even sounds better. Best mod for the money

I had the 91 tune then loaded up the 93 tune but felt the same barley any speed difference I didn't expect much since I have a 2014 dodge avenger se v6. Also this tuner doesn't let me install my custome tune to my car but it installs into the tuner? And their tech team doesn't answer for several minutes and emails take several days to even be replied to wouldn't buy this again

I bought the i3 tuner and used it over 4000 miles now. I can feel more power towing but while towing it seems I'm getting worse mpg. MPG are up under normal driving. Overall I'd recommend this product

It was a little tricky to update initially but it’s a breeze after you do it the first time. Plugging in tunes is very easy and just adjusting some parameters and installing a 91 tune woke up my challenger. I can’t verify any dyno number but the change in how the car drives is enough, even if I don’t have any gain (Which I’m sure there are gains) It is very easy to use and I highly recommend.

Shift points

Will this work on a 2014 ram 1500 5.7 hemi. I have 37’s with a 6 inch lift the only reason I’m interested in the tuner is to fix my shift point of 1st-3rd gear. They all shift well below 3000 rpm and the shift point is almost never the same. Will this tuner help me or should I swap gears?

I got it a free weeks ago go it could not get it to work for a few day tried to get ahold of someone but no answer but I like it but I would like a custom tune I was told by a friend that has used y’all for years and he told me that y’all do one free custom tune. But I’m pleased with it but my friend with the same one but for a 06 300 and some of his features are different like mine I can only select a preset and he’ll have a slider on some of his so idk if it makes a difference with year

I bought the DiabloSport I3 Platinum about a month ago and even though I have a bone stock 13 Charger I can already tell the difference in performance. I tuned my car with the 91 octane tune and improved throttle sensitivity and my throttle response has been 10x better then stock. Not to mention my mpg has gone up as well since I don’t have to press the throttle to the floor to kove from a dead stop. Really happy with my investment and can’t wait to add more mods to take even more advantage of the tuner. Great product!!

Noticeable Increased Performance

I have only tried the “Diablo” preset tune, but I immediately noticed a difference in throttle response. The handheld took a while to complete all the updates before I plugged it into the car, and then reported it did not support my car until it completed more updates. I ran the update several times, and then had to unplug the device from the car before it actually recognized the updates. Once it was up and running it was easy to program. I cannot report on MPG change as I just used the programmer for the first time today. I will play around with the manual changes available at a later time, but optimistic it will give me more performance upgrades!

I received this tuner a few weeks ago. I’ve had a couple of weeks to test out the tune I installed. I installed a K&N drop-filter with the 91 tune and changed a few parameters and I was really pleased with the outcome. I certainly noticed more power in the upper RPM range and on acceleration. I would definitely say I felt an increase in horsepower and torque.

Really confusing

When I first pulled it out of the box it said to update it and so I did. I then connected it to my car and it said “vehicle not supported”. It wanted me to update again. I did it again and then I went to flash the calibration tune to the vehicle. Programmer rebooted at 50% and when it came back on it booted into recovery mode. It said the calibration tune failed yet it did not fail and was really confusing. Finally I got a tune to finally go through to the vehicle. You really need to include at least some basic directions with getting these devices set up.

Feels like more than 13hp

The first initial update took about 6 hours, which was no big deal definitely worth the wait! The Wi-Fi built into the tuner is a big plus, you can just sit in your car and plug it in and as long as you are close to your house it will do the update right there so you don't have to plug into a computer in the house. I have a CAI and cat back on my 2012 rt charger and put the 91 tune in it (I live in Colorado so the best I can do is run eth free 91) and after the tune it was spinning the tires from a 30 roll, I am so amazed at how much power it gave me, feels so much more than 13hp! Having the throttle boost and being able to turn off the MDS mode was a huge plus, the car actually feels like it has a hemi in it now!

First off, I only purchased this in advance of some upcoming motor work knowing I would need to install tunes. I had no plans of using any of the provided tunes but I went ahead and installed the 93 OCT tune and boy was I surprised. The car went from stuck to the ground snappy to a tire frying machine. Torque through the powerband was a noticeable improvement. It now has a "push you back in the seat" type feeling. Having left this car stock for the 8 years I've owned it, I was not expecting such a substantial change in performance. Yes it does tire frying launches. Yes it will do rolling burnouts at 30mph. Yes it does ask that fun expensive stuff but it also drives a little better. I would say overall in all categories of motor and driveability there was improvement. Only regret is not doing this 8 years ago.

Purchased a factory refurbished unit on line, I live in the UK and I own a 300c hemi from 2006. Firstly it works on the UK models which I couldn't confirm online, it doesn't work out of the box and the only negative was lack of instructions. The unit looks good and has everything in the box. What it doesn't say is you have to update the unit, install in the vehicle, first time it will tell you the vehicle is not supported. But I understand at this point it records your vin. Purform a second update and it will install the necessary software. This is a much longer process than the first update, this may take 5-10 minutes, I also did this over WiFi. When you reinstall in the vehicle you should have full functionality.... After the initial set up it works very well. Plug back into the vehicle and it will have

Now, I'm the 1st to admit that I'm a novice when it comes to tuning (novice as in I just booted up the game and I don't know what button does what, I'm running into a wall, I can't figure out how to draw my weapon, and my friends/kids are laughing at me NOOB! and I get killed the second I spawn. THAT kind of novice), but when using this InTune i3 I'm not sure I did anything after I applied a tune. I wanted to turn off MDS (My Dodge Charger shuts off 1/2 the cylinders to save gas. I didn't buy a Hemi to save gas) and put a 91 octane tune on it. Well, I wanted to do the 93 octane tune but there's, I think, 2 stations in town that sell it, but I digress... Ok, I find the tune and then after some confusing fiddling around I see that I can adjust parameters and one of the options is to turn off MDS (among a myriad of other options that I don't dare touch, cuz quite frankly I don't have any idea what they do...). I set the tune to 91 octane and turn off MDS. I think. The inTune gives me directions. Turn Key On, Turn Key Off, etc. with dash-lights flickering on and off. InTune tells me it's all done. Okaaay? Great... how do I know? I plug it into my computer to see if maybe there's a simple menu. Like Dodge Charger - the date - and then, you know, 91 octane and MDS off. Nope. It looks it was developed by a bunch of enthusiastic car tuners (which is NOT a bad thing) who know what all this jargon is, but for us who are just in the game it's a bit overwhelming. I have NO idea what to do. So, I turn to the manual. All it tells me is how to plug it in and follow the directions. So I turn to the internet. There's gotta be someone who is walking you through this on YouTube or some such. There's a couple, and they're ok but they just tell me how to do what I've already done. I still can't find where it tells me WHAT I did to my car. I drive it and it FEELS quicker and I THINK all the cylinders are firing all the time, or is that just me wanting it to be that way? Hopefully someone writes a comprehensive manual (that us newbies can read and understand. You know, like you're walking your grandma/mom over the phone on how to reboot her wi-fi router after a thunderstorm.) that also outlines what everything does. There's so much that this tuner can do that I just don't know how to tap into. One other thing... All the pics of the inTune I3 show it as a distinct unit with a cable that plugs into it. Mine is integrated as one piece. Is mine an old model or the new one?

Stop using Holley as a distributor. I've never seen suck horror customer service in my life. The product should have 93 octane program and not just 91. The WiFi options is not operating well for this unit as well. Yes my wifi works for every other thing in the house so it the product.

2011 RAM 5.7 - Like a different truck

Fairly simple to program, just follow the instructions. Connect to WiFi and download the update. Connect to the truck to get the VIN. Connect to WiFi again to download the tune for your vehicle. Connect to the truck and program. My 2011 RAM 1500 5.7 Hemi runs like a different truck. Programmed with 87 Octane time and turned off MDS. The truck is so snotty now and almost silent at idle. Overall fuel mileage is better now vs factory time with MDS. Max fuel mileage(all interstate) hasn’t been tested yet but I am getting 18+ in mixed rural highway driving. Better than I expected and I love having the MDS turned off.

I bought a new Sprint module from diablo to shut MDS off but wasn’t working with my car so I upgraded to a Predetor 2. Tune loaded fine every time but my car would run for 30 sec. then kill itself every time. I called customer support and told them the problem. No questions asked he offer to upgrade me to the i3 unit for free and send a return label with it. Took 2 days even with thanksgiving to get to me. I updated it, tuned it, and wow. Feels like a different car. Shifting is better, throttle response, and you can for sure tell that it’s faster. I recommend especially since I’m going to cam in the future and can add custom tunes as well

Bought this about a month ago. WiFi update never works just keeps claiming needed update and wouldn’t work on my 09 Charger. Finally after over 4 attempts of doing it on the computer it finally help the update and worked on car. Anytime I try to tune it seems to tune the car, but freezes the I3 with an error. Customer Service is only open when I’m at work, and emails take awhile for response. Dunno since the WiFi doesn’t work I should have got the predator. I wonder if the trinity is build any better? Or if that feels and acts like cheap Chinese junk too. Very disappointed in purchase. I would not buy again.

Updated on PC first (took no time) then 93 octane tuned my '14 Charger 5.7L. Initial PCM backup and tune load combined took just under an hour. Much peppier compared to stock. Next removed speed limiter and disabled MDS, took maybe 10 minutes to figure out and change parameters. Tuner menu navigation is fairly straight forward which is nice. Glad i got it, worth the $$

I purchased this a week ago (#8345) for my 2014 Hemi Ram 1500 4X4, started with the Easy Tune Menu. chose 93% octane, then tire size 17" = 31.6 dia, NO GEAR RATIO mine has a 3.92. Why the F150 and GM data on this product?

Was a little tricky to get set up. Tech support was awesome at getting me going. My main goal was trans shift points & this has allowed me to make vast improvements! Right now I'm running the 87 tune & my mpg went up almost 2 points! Nice bonus! I'm excited to keep working with it & see how much better I can make my truck. I left off a star only because I would have liked a much more in depth set of instructions. Probably could have saved myself some hassle.

I have had my Diablo sport programmer for a little over a year now, I have a 2016 hellcat and use it in conjunction with their unlocked pcm. Every since new the device has frozen when trying to download tunes or just connect it to a pc to update. Now it has caused multiple bus issues with my car and will put the transmission in limp mode when trying to read vehicle data and illuminate all sorts of lamps. This sets around 33 fault codes in various modules and the tool will no longer read or program my vehicle. I have tried contacting their customer service via email multiple times and ways. Also have tried calling and after an hour to an hour and a half on hold a message will come on saying they have too many callers and hang up. I am not pleased with their recent customer service as well as the cheapness and build quality of the i3. I have only used this device a handful of times during the course of a year. Poor quality firmware, device and software.

There are several issues with it such as. 1. Right out the box it wouldn't connect to wifi. I was hoping updating it would help (it didn't) 2. Sometimes it doesn't hold the modified parameters. 3. Sometimes it doesn't hold the tune 4. Because of whatever issue it has my dash is lit up like a Christmas tree 5. Because of the issue it has sometimes my car is stuck in second gear and won't let me use auto stick 6. Won't let me update it again 7. Trying to put my tune back to factory doesn't fix any of the issues caused by the tuner. DO NOT BUY IT'S NOT WORTH $50

Honestly I did not notice any remarkable gains in my 09 Challenger R/T Auto. Unfortunately I did not get the "wow" factor even with the 93 Octane Diablo Tune that some rave about. If I were to do it again I would pass on the Tuner and put my money towards a performance exhaust and a CAI which will actually give you noticeable performance gains. The Tuner is good for turning off your MDS on an automatic but it's an awful lot of money to spend to simply turn off your MDS when you could put your money towards a new exhaust system that will reduce and even eliminate MDS drone.

have uploaded and changed tunes, presumably. However, each time I do a software update to the tuner itself and check upgrader app on computer, it shows Ford and GM, no chrysler Ram 1500. It is not saying that vehicle incompatible? Is it possible to have and incorrect vehicle?

Woke the Durango up

I always felt both of my Durango's just lacked acceleration. The tuner changed that. Both are daily drivers with V6 engines. I didn't want a race car and had reasonable expectations. I've only run the MPG tune and the 87 tune. Both did the job and made them fun to drive. For everyone that dogged the MPG tune, your expectations were to high. Both really helped the acceleration and improved over the stock tune. There's not much difference between the 2 tunes, maybe shift points. I'd suggest putting one on your vehicle. Allows the vehicle to perform the way it was designed to instead of meeting government economy standards.

I bought this tuner a while back and it worked the way I wanted initially. I felt the difference in driving instantly. When trying to tune my car again, it errored out halfway and I was unable to restore the stock tune. I'm usually at work during the time that their support is available so I got around it by renaming some files on the device and it updated allowing me to restore the stock tune and then retune my car again. I do enjoy using this product overall, I just suggest being careful when and where you use it.

Overall its a good interface to use, meaning the " canned " tunes don't do much and I feel I need to get a custom tune to have an effect on performance. The tuner could have come set up a bit better instead of having me run back and forth from my vehicle to my PC during the first install , the tuner comes out of the box a bit too generic. In hindsight I should have bought the trinity as I presume it would have done more and would have been able to do more , I just didn't want a display screen in the vehicle so I went with one step down. I have recently had an issue with turning the MDS on and off , I turned it off and wanted to turn it back on however after a recent update to the device that option is not shown now. Overall I expected more , more of a performance upgrade based on the mechanical modifications I made and more from the device . I gave it an average rating as I feel it isn't any different than the other tuners out there , not worse but definitely not any better than the others I have used in the past.

I bought my truck new and it was pretty nasty for a stock truck. I had no need or desire to buy a tuner to make it perform any better. But for some reason the battery had a bad cell and wouldnt hold a charge strong enough to start the truck. It was still covered by warranty so i brought it in to a dealer service dept. When i picked it up they said they updated the software and without my consent. Well it topped out at 106 and getting there was sluggish and i lost 5 mpg that really upset me. I went back and asked them to put it back the way it was they said they cant do that. So 2 years later i purchased the intune i3 and used the 87 tune with speed limiter off and am really impressed it has good throttle response and will spin the wheels from a standstill without standing on the brakes it never did that. Its not as quick at gaining the upper speeds as it was when new but im not bringing it to the drag strip. Cant wait to see if my. Mpg goes back to the way it was

Bought this tuner on impulse for my 2006 Charger R/T, loved the features, didn’t take long at all to update for me. After fooling around with it for a couple hours I figured out how pretty much everything works, though im still trying to figure out what PID’s I want set, which tune is best for my car, and so on and so fourth. Easy tune is just that, easy, buy doesnt allow as many advanced features as the advanced tune (duh). That being said the Advanced tune is relatively simple once you figure out how the InTune 3 works. I also liked that I could turn off MDS (Which had a slight chance to kill the hemis pre 2009 less you used fuel additives/made sure to warm up all 8 cylinders) and Traction control (which is impossible to fully disable without a tuner.), but I was most impressed by the ability to disable Autostick Auto Upshift, effectively making my charger as Manual as possible without swapping the transmission. Only qualms are that for some reason the 93 Octane tune doesnt show up on advanced (maybe this is just me?) and I cant seem to find a mounting attachment/decent place to mount in my Charger for viewing current logs, and I wouldve liked a set of 10” by 2” white decals for my doors!! That being said these are the most insignificant of nitpicks, and the tuner will have you laughing as you blow off your tires as soon as you step on the gas, the only other product to make me this happy with my car was my set of Flowmaster 40’s (which surprise surprise is also a holley brand.) and im sure Diablosport/holley will contact me or reply to this review with solutions to my nitpicks. I know a 5 Star rating seems like an over reaction, but I couldnt honestly give this a lower score without staying awake at night.

here is my experience so far... i was able to install PCM, update i3 tuner and load 87 octane canned tune within an hour and a half... first time trying to load tune was not successful but the second worked just fine. I did not change any settings or any playing around for this first install; i just wanted to ensure it worked before playing. Before heading to my 2015 Ram 1500 to load a tune, i wirelessly updated the i3 tuner in the house then proceeded to the truck. i think this is a critical step as the update was only 10-15 minutes and not hours. PCM unlocking process went well; i was concerned about it but it was fine. Customer service was good and knowledgeable. i have no comments yet on HP / TORQUE gains, value nor features... those will hopefully come in the near future.

Ordered the i3 directly through DS with zero issues. Shipping was fast and the tuner arrived as advertised on their site. Before use, it is recommended to download the most current software for the tuner, which is super easy by way of screen prompts. I also downloaded the support drivers and Data viewer program which is all located on the Diablo website. The tuner has the ability to datalog internally, as well as stream live data to your connected laptop if you so choose. The tuner is no frills, compact and very easy to use. The on screen options are clear and easy to understand and setup is a breeze It comes pre-loaded with a few "canned" tunes which include a 91 and 93 octane tune. A few days after getting used to the features of the tuner, I loaded the 93 octane tune and all I can say is Wow! I have a 16 Charger Scat Pack that is stock with the exception of an LMI intake, and it really woke the car up. Throttle response and an increase in power is definitely noticeable. The only negative input that I have is that the touch screen isn't quite as responsive as you would expect and presses require a very "intentional" touch. You have to press a bit harder or directly than you would with say, a cel phone or touch screen device. Also the devices' bezel surrounding the screen is a bit high, which some sometimes causes unintentional selection modes if they are too close to the edge. I would like if the screen were just a tad bit larger, but thats just me. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend this tuner.

I’m having a bad experience, first off it took a week and a half to get. I couldn’t scan my engine codes. I then had to load software and update a few times and still nothing. I have a procharged Dodge Ram and a cmr tuner. I had to return vehicle to stock and get a rough tune, this cleared my codes but now I can’t data log. My tuner said he needs some data to tune. So I was then told to use data viewer to show data and I can’t get the intune to connect to that. I have spent money on a tuner that doesn’t work properly, countless hours trying to make this thing work and I’m stuck with a half tuned daily driver that’s been sitting for two weeks. Now I’m forced to spend more money to actually get data? Not happy, there is a problem with these units.

And the ability for throttle response isn't shown if there is one which I bought a peddle commander for. If there is a way to go through yall for tunes for my car that would be nice to not a stock everyone got tune

I purchased the Intune 3 Platinum for my 2015 Charger SXT AWD Ralley. I wanted to just have a better driving experience as I was very annoying throttle lag and shift points. The tuner is simple to use. Just update and plug plug into OBD port. Right now I'm using the 87 octane tune with the TCM tune. Woke the car right up. Drives like it should have come from Dodge lol. Great product.

So like the title says, Tunes are nice, but the i3 is a hunk of junk. It freezes, takes about 5 tries to update, and many times the touch screen is very unresponsive. In the photos the i3 looks like a retrofitted iphone 4. But in reality, a repacked iphone 4 would be light years ahead of the 1995 hardware they put into the i3. Also did not save me a dime on gas like the tuner claims. But i do have an SRT so.... you decide. If you really just want an tuner for box tunes or the option to upload your own. This will do it for you, just very poorly.

I bought the Intune i3 platinum for my 2010 Chrysler 300 limited, it’s a great little unit. I have had a bit of an issue finding custom tunes, or who even makes custom tunes for my make and model, but overall I’m content with the 91 octane tune. I bought the tuner to make my car more unique to me and how I drive, it does the most basic of jobs, but I would be ecstatic if there was more I could do, if someone could point or lead me in the right direction I will repost with a 5 ⭐️ review. Thank you so much!

STUCK ON INCORRECT GEAR RATIO

Was working fine until I changed the axle ratio. I have a 07 Dodge magnum sxt 3.5l. The gear ratio is supposed to be 3.90. I set it to it and now when it's in 3rd gear it will go into limp mode. I've reinstalled my back up, but it still stuck on this incorrect gear ratio. I hope it can be fixed. Before this it was improving MPG for sure. It felt like it had more power too .

Unboxed the tuner, plugged in, asked for update, updated and then got a message saying not compatible with my vehicle. I called tech support and Mike walked me right through it and was very helpful. Vehicle is a 2003 ram 1500 5.7. The 87 octane tune really impressed me. I didn’t expect much more power to be had on 87 fuel. I filled truck up with 93 octane and quickly changed tune to 93 octane and the power really is impressive! Truck feels all around more responsive and fun to drive. Lights tires muuuch easier from a dig than before! Thanks DiabloSport and thank you Mike for the help!

I received mine just after Christmas. It was very difficult to get it to match to my vehicle. It took about 10 phone calls, 11 emails, several file downloads, and all together several hours of messing with it over course of about 2 weeks to finally get it to load a tune. BUT once it mated to my truck it worked great and has since. I have loaded multiple tunes and made a few adjustments. Please please please fix the issue of getting it to mate to the vehicle. Mike in Technical support was very helpful and knowledgeable. Could not have fixed this issue without him.

I purchase the Diablo in Tune i3 for my 2003 Ram 1500 with the 5.7. I have programmed the Diablo inTune i3 on the various pre set programs and I have not noticed a difference between any of them. The MPG stays the same on the the economy tune as it does on stock. The performance tune does not run any better but does get a little less mpg than the economy tune. I emailed Diablo before purchasing to ask about transmission shift points. I was told I can't change the shift points myself but the different tunes will change the transmission shifting as part of the various programs. It shifts the same on all of the tunes. I was not expecting a race truck, but I do feel I wasted my money.

My Experience with InTune 3…

I bought my InTune 3 a while back, I don’t think it is worth it’s $500 price tag. When I first opened the box everything was alright, I plugged it into my laptop and downloaded all the software, and updated it just fine. When it came time to put it in the car, it wouldn’t turn on. At first I thought the ignition had to be on but it didn’t make a difference, I tried many different ways until I found myself wedging the cable between my feet to get it turn on. I assume there is a wire break in the OBD2 connector because if I held the cable 1 way it worked kinda. First try failed as I assume there are multiple wires that are broken. Second I got it to download and I called it done. I was in the car for 1 1/2 hrs trying to figure out why the god darn thing wasn’t working. But 500 for a little computer in plastic then for the wiring to be shot outta the box, not worth my 500. Maybe 250, cause I when it worked it was nice, but because the cable I’m not able to data log or run any applications on the computer to see what the car is doing. I still have it running the 93octane tune right now because I’m worried it’s not going to have the original tune. The tuner is under warranty and I hope that Diablo could replace it if I sent it back. I think I would have to put the factory tune back and I should be fine. There’s probably a 10% chance that yours will prob be garbage, that’s your risk for $500. Again though, once it worked for those 5min it was easy to use. But that hour and a half of me struggling to find out why it wouldn’t boot when hooked up to the car.

I previously thought there was an issue with the wiring in the cable, but!!! I plugged it in known good OBD2 and it booted fine. I proceeded to bend the pins a little and BOOM it’s fixed. I assume my OBD port was worn out. Now that it works as it should I 100% would recommend this TUNER!! Now we got stututu!!!!

After much searching and reading about the negatives and positives I finally pulled the trigger and bought the intune i3 for my 2014 Dodge Charger rt. I've had it for 3 days now. When I got it I set the 91 tune because of some negatives I read about the 93 tune. It definitely made a difference in power but I wasn't really that impressed until this morning when I put the Diablo tune on it. My wife said she would rather I put it back to normal because it has a more throatier sound to my catback exhaust system and she thought it was too loud which really sounds so much better to me now then it did before. This tune on my R/T is awesome I maxed the throttle settings to 20% and put tire size and axle ratio in I have a 2.65 ratio rear. The best part of this is my wife thought it would ruin my gas mileage I told her sure it will if I keep my foot on it. So I filled it up in town and drove home without getting on it, my previous gas mileage from that gas station to home was 23mpg,today it 24.5 mpg Now some might look at this and say B.S. which I might too if I was reading this, but I am almost 65 years young and Iv'e been checking fuel mileage on every thing I drive motorcycles 18 wheelers so this is accurate Just want to say thanks for a good product Diablo...........

Although that is not cost effective because of the price of new tires, it is nice to know the capability is there. The paddles work very well with the tuner installed. Overall very pleased!!

This device has done nothing for my car. I have done everything I know to do based on the direction sheet and zero progress in any way. I want to send this back. I don’t want to pay for something that is bogus. And to me at this point....I’m extremely upset with this purchase.

Does not measure up to what i was told by rep before buying, i truly feel beguiled, wouldn't have spent $383, if truth was disclosed before my purchase, bottom line i feel cheated.

Quarky and slightly buggy at times, but play with this tuner a bit and reap the benefits. After having this for several months, I really like the tunes from quick tune changes ie traction control, and Diablo tune (mild fuel saving tune) to the 93 tune which really wakes up the engine and gives you a serious change in feel of applied power. Worth the money, and recommend this tuner or better yet the step above if I could do it all over again.

Update has worked flawlessly. I have a second battery connected during tuning and to this still a charger with 10A. Just to make sure that the voltage of the battery is maintained. The tune went through without a problem, I always fill up with 98 octane gasoline here in Germany, so I decided to use this tune. Tomorrow I will test how it runs with it, there were no errors on the unit or in the instrument cluster. I would buy the unit again. So, now tested the tune a few days. I am thrilled! The gearbox shifts much earlier into the next gear and quite smoothly - before there was always a hard jerk. The vehicle hangs much better on the gas, it's really fun! I would buy the tuner again and again, for me a complete success. However, I also connected a second battery when installing the tuner to ensure that the voltage does not drop. Thus, there were no problems.

Initially I bought the predator platinum only to find out that it wont tune the AWD Magnum. I called customer service on a Saturday and had a REALLY LONG WAIT. I was pretty pissed by the time I got to speak with someone. However, after speaking with the customer service rep. I understand why the long wait.... they're extremely thorough in their job and really go the extra mile to help customers out of a jam. We eventually figured out I had the wrong tuner for my car. The rep had me a i3 tuner shipped out on Monday along with a label to return the predator tuner. The i3 tuner itself is fairly straightforward although they could use a bit better instructions....I actually had to go online to figure out how to install the custom tune and turn off the MDS. It's a bit slow loading, but most anything going through the obd2 port always seems to be slow. Once installed the tune definitely seemed to wake up the hemi and best of all was successful in turning off the pesky MDS. Even with the few kinks that seem to be prevalent in the i3 tuner in these reviews, I still give it 5 stars because it does exactly what it is advertised to do.... plus I love the fact that you can purchase extra license for other vehicles.... very seriously thinking of getting an extra license for my 2010 Challenger also.
