99’ Dakota R/T 5.9L Extended Cab

I purchased the Dashpaq a little under a year ago and decided to review because anybody who owns a 1999-2004 Dakota R/T knows locating performance parts for our trucks are few & far between at best. Thank you Superchips for taking the time to research & develop products for my beloved Dakota R/T! Initially the idea of a plug & play device instantly adding hp without time, complications of turning wrenches is main reason I purchased a pre loaded custom tuner. I previously owned flashpaq 3845 and upgraded to Dashpaq for the in cabin monitor. Both of these tuners are excellent add ons for performance minded buyers. I purchased online and received it less than a week,installed tuner and it was up & running in under 15 minutes. I optioned for the Level 4 tune 91 octane customizing the rpm,tire size,speedometer specs without any difficulty. Immediately there were noticeable gains for hp & torque. I can’t tell you exactly what those gains are,I can only say I am very pleased with the outcome. I’ll never use the economy,towing or whatever other options are available so I can’t review them without lying. I adamantly recommend Dashpaq for all who desire maximum hp without spending $$$$ thousands $$$$ With the simplicity of plug & play device that any 7th grade junior high schooler can install. For my hard earned weekly paycheck Superchips is where it’s at.

WASTE OF MONEY

2011 Ram 5.7 hemi. Owned this product now for 4 months and still to this day unhappy with it. Switched back and forth between stock and cant pick out hp or torque gains. I had a cherry bomb exhaust put on and I felt more kick than the tuner. I called American Trucks and Superchips multiple times when I first got the dashpaq and no one was any help and didnt care. Pretty much was hey your on your own we got your money. Well for $500 kiss my .a $$ p o s tuner doesnt do anything. Never buy superchips products you will be verry disappointed with their lack of brand integrity, programming ability and false advertising. Better off getting Bully Dog or Diablo.

im a guy that doesnt care about running v8s, a well maintained tuned v6 is just as good and the fact the standard v6s out of the v8s auto or standard were the best for fuel mileage from 1998 to 2003 or 4 when they sadly switched to the 3.7. bought this for my 1st 2000 Dakota 5spd 3.9, never got to use it as of involved in an accident that the frame got bent but drove it home, no mods except a thrush straight exhaust, found another one same year and everything though 3 days just in time when it arrived at the store, the kms were 1000 lower , has a 3' body lift and running 33s and a cold air intake, i mixed in with the throttle body spacer I bought from the company as well ( and boy does she whistle!!! :D)and been running 94 cuz I wont run 87 hate it. ran 89 in my other one and was getting 300 to a tank, with my better truck and switching it to synthetic oils only (just like the other one) I was getting 450 a tank on the performance stage and close to 600 with a jerry can added at a 1/4 tank and being close to 3/4 full. planning on doing the exhaust next to help with the air cause I slightly do feel it choking itself though never did any adjustments to the cable like your suppose to. would I need to install a aftermarket mass airflow sensor or just buy an upgraded sensor to compensate for the extra air im gettin as well as obvsly adjusting the throttle cable if your a Dakota, Durango or ram with the mag v6 id recommend it

I have had this in my truck now for a few weeks and honestly quite impressed it is noticeably faster and gives me the options to see readings on my truck that aren’t normally available 10/10 recommend for the 2012 4.7L FLEX FUEL

I got this mainly because I need to recalibrate my Speedo to my aftermarket tires and fuel mileage improvements but I have to get with customer service cause it says no abs module present so I can't fix my Speedo on my 2000 dodge yet but performance is great!

I just installed the dashpaq my truck yesterday. I can’t say if it gave me the horsepower it advertised. But there is a noticeable gain. The throttle response made my ran fun to drive again. For me the being able to turn the speed limiter off and the eco mode off was more than enough to make me happy. If you own a ram with the eco you know how awful sounding it makes your truck when you have duals. Looking forward to hooking to the horse trailer and seeing how it performs with it.

Great horsepower

Got this for my 2012 Ram 1500 5.7 HEMI. Great for the horsepower and torque. Would have given it 5 stars but in economy mode I didn’t see any gain in fuel mileage. I even lost some. Love the gauges but biggest complaint is the economy mode.

I installed the superchip dash paq on my second gen Dodge with 5.9 magnum install was really easy since my dash is obliterated and I really do feel a big difference running the 91 octane tune

Got it a while back and right off the bat it didn’t read my gauges correctly and then today my truck will not start if it’s plugged in and when it is plugged in it says can’t detect ignition on so I don’t know what to do

I have had my chip for a few weeks and the power increase has been grerat. I would give it a 5 star rating if it wasnt for the economy mode; i am very disappointed in the economy mode i am getting worse fuel milage in economy mode

It increses horsepower no doubt, however the revlimiter set doesnt work, it freezes frequently.
