It's Day 2 of HOT ROD Drag Week 2021 and the racing action is heating up as drivers and spectators converged on Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio. Good track conditions continued and Unlimited class competitor Dave Shroeder laid down a 6.54 at 210 mph after a late-night fix to keep his spot at the top of the Unlimited class. Swedish competitor Mikael Borggren in his unassuming, yet wickedly fast Volvo 240, delivered a 7.090 at 204.70, which has many competitors guessing he's good for 6.00s in the coming days.

Here're a few more highlights from the second day of the week-long thrash-fest.

Bryan Anders tamed down his 1977 Chevette from doing its famous monster wheelie to put a 9.16@145 on the board.

Joe Unverzagt is piloting his 1959 in the B/Gas class in his first drag week and went 12.89 with it.

Jacki Steinke is holding her own in the Street Race Small Block Power Adder class in her ProCharged SBC Mustang with a pair of 9.0s so far.

It’s not the fastest and it’s a bit of an oddball car/truck, but Courtney Goebel is having a blast running the 1984 Dodge Rampage in the street race small block N/A class.

Alex Taylor is making some good progress with her brand new '55 Chevy. It’s packing a twin-turbo, big block and runs in the unlimited class. Taylor hammered out a few mid-7 second passes already.

Steve Winningham is out here rippin’ gears and going low 9's in his LS powered 1981 Mustang.

There wasn't a much more consistent car than the Dodge Challenger of Dean Bunting who made 12.0 passes over and over all day.

Ryan Windsor is out here in his road-trip-ready 1972 Nova four-door and it’s going consistent mid 12s.
