With a tropical storm on the horizon, it was all hands on deck for racers and crew at SGMP on Thursday. No Mercy X always brings out the heavy hitters and low E.T.'s continue to shatter records. All qualifying was completed and luckily only a few broken parts and body panels littered the track throughout the day. Holley EFI now holds four class records as of Thursday evening, Radial versus the World, Pro 275, Ultra Street and Limited Drag Radial. We're bringing you a run down of what took place below.

Holley EFI Dealer and owner of Redline Motorsports, Matt Bell brought his Limited Drag Radial Mustang to South Georgia aiming to be at the top of podium. In qualifying, Bell laid down an impressive 4.047 @ 190 mph taking the record for himself. The top 3 cars are separated by .04 and spectators should expect some very close racing as we progress into the weekend.

David and his "Little Evil" Mustang has been a menace to the No Time and Pro 275 scene this season. The Vortech supercharged combination came off the trailer and rolled through the traps at a 3.97, which was enough to put them as top qualifier. Instead of backing down, Pearson came out Thursday and laid down a new class record with his 3.90 pass!

Stevie Fast Jackson rolled in Wednesday afternoon with his Killin' Time Racing crew, he just came off a victory in the NHRA Pro Modified series (where he also just clinched his first championship). Qualifying proved difficult for a lot of Radial versus the World competitors with many racers knocking the tires loose just after the starting line. Jackson however continued to prove he is one of the best by running a 3.608 in the final round placing him at the top of the charts.

Forecasts show 100% chance of rain starting Friday night through Saturday, crews will be thrashing to get as many eliminations rounds completed as possible. With luck, the SGMP and No Mercy staff can keep the track sticky and the cars flowing as we press on into the weekend.

Good luck to all of the competitors this week and stay tuned for further coverage from No Mercy X!
