2004R replaces TH400

Picked up a "very used" 2004R core out of a 1982 Hurst Olds which had the beefier 2004R same as Grand National.

Had it rebuilt for 500HP at Nicholls Performance Transmissions. Kit from ShiftWorks shifters allowed adapting the factory

Hurst dual-gate up to the 2004R for nice cruising rpm on the hiway with the 3:55 rear gearing. B&M SuperCooler in series

with the Afco radiator trans cooler keeps it cool, with an AutoMeter trans temp guage monitoring the temps.
