My 1978 Jeep CJ5 "Sarge"

I purchased Sarge in May of 2021 as he really was a untouched Jeep for the most part. No lift kits, no engine replacements, heck I even found the original green paint in the glovebox and the fender wells! He just needed a friend with a checkbook!

Sarge is 1978 CJ-5 Basic, narrow track with the rock solid 258 inline 6 cylinder (4.2L) with a Carter 1 barrel carburetor, rear AMC 20 two piece (Ratio 3.54) and front Dana 30 axles with locking hubs. It has the $@@?-Warner T150 3 speed transmission with the Dana 20 transfer case. It's a 4x4 part-time with rear full time, front engaged manually in off-road conditions. Your basic no frills Jeep, the fun kind!
