  • Vehicle Overview

SamBo is a Stock 1983 Ford F100 that was willed to me after my father died on Sep 27, 2005 in Vicksburg, MS. On Sep 30, 2005 I drove SamBo 5 miles from my dads house to my baby sisters home, where it sat for almost 9 years. In Aug 2014 my wife and I drove from Albuquerque, NM to Vicksburg, MS to haul SamBo back on a U-haul trailer with our 2002 Mercedes ML500 SUV. We hauled SamBo back over a 4 day drive from Vicksburg, MS through Monroe, LA, Shreveport, LA, Dallas, TX, Wichita Falls, TX, Amarillo, TX and on to Albuquerque, NM. SamBo had dry rotted tires, some surface rust, a rusty gas tank, a rusty exhausts system, a corroded carburetor and was not getting oil to the top end. Over the next 6 years while at the same time working and living a normal home life with my wife, I restored SamBo by reconditioning the engine, Raptor lining the truck bed, applied Rust-Oleum under coating, re-stained all interior panels, re-upholstery the bench seat, repaired and painted the body at home in my driveway. My goal now is to improve SamBo’s performance!
