Vehicle Overview

This is a 1961 Apache 10, original SWB, it has been a family project. We purchased this truck in the fall of 2006 and started tear down in the spring of 2007. The truck did not run but was in very good shape with next to no rust out holes but did have some surface rust. A frame off restoration was performed. Frame was sand blasted and painted. The body parts were taken apart and soda blasted put into epoxy primer and body work completed and painted. Modifications were performed to the dash with some smoothing and removing of certain dash switches along with moving fuel cell to rear of frame. Seat was replaced with a late 1980's bench seat. Upgrades include 12 bolt posi rear end, 4 inch drop rear coil springs, custom aluminum fuel cell, drop spindles and front disc brakes, power booster and duel master cylinder, automatic overdrive transmission, Hughes deep aluminum transmission pan, derale remote transmission color, sbc 383 stroker, aluminum radiator with electric fan, Vintage Air, front grill, head light bezels and rear tail light bezels and bumpers have been chromed, US mags and Holley retrobright head lights.
