Vehicle Overview

From the time Richard Petty won his 200th race on July 4, 1984 I wanted to own one just like it. Many years later in 2008 my then girlfriend/now wife bought me a Grand Prix and said build your dream car. Circumstances finally allowed the project to move forward in July of 2013. I had the crazy idea to finish it in time for the 20th anniversary of the Hot Rod Power Tour in 2014. By happenstance I happened to meet Barry Owen, the original car builder of Petty’s 200th win Pontiac. We recreated the car as close to the original as possible and still keep it street legal. The car was completed and unveiled at the kickoff of the 2014 Power Tour in Concord NC. The car is used in many charity events in the south and has run numerous charity events at such tracks as Charlotte, Darlington, VIR and Martinsville. It has lead the Darlington Nascar Hauler Parade on several occasions. The car has taken on a life of its own as a tribute to all of Nascar in addition to Richard Petty. It has been signed by many Nascar drivers and champions on our custom headliner. The car has been autographed by the following: Richard Petty, Maurice Petty, Dale Inman, Buddy Parrott, Todd Parrot, Barry Owen, Don Miller, Dave Marcis, Harry Gant, Rusty Wallace, Bill Elliott, Dale Earnhardt Jr, Joey Logano, Ryan Newman, Robby Gordon, Rex White, Ned Jarrett, Terry Labonte, Bobby Labonte, Larry McReynolds, Ray Evernham, Glen & Leonard Wood, Rutledge Wood, Mike Joy, Kyle Petty, Bobby Allison, Donnie Allison, Bubba Wallace, Junior Johnson, Darrell Waltrip, Brett Bodine, Chad Knaus, Mike Helton and Eric Jones.
