Vehicle Overview

I Purchased this car for $500 in 1978. It was rusty, and painted cracked and yellowed white. It had a 2-bbl 302 and 3-speed manual trans (it originally had an automatic), and a finicky Accel dual-point distributor. Two major rebuilds and several minor ones later, it now sports a ~400HP 351W, bored 0.030, TFS heads, FiTech EFI, 3.50 Detroit Locker, Tremec 5-spd, Trans-Am Race Engineering 17" wheels, and many other modifications and Mach-1 add-ons while maintaining the stock body lines. The functional hood scoop is from a Maverick Grabber. http://www.matts-workshop.com/Mustang/brag_sheet.shtml

Future Plans

Always looking for suspension and steering improvements without breaking the bank. The TCP manual rack-n-pinion is good, but some center play after 40K miles. Electric power steering would be nice with the wider tires. The paint has held up quite well since 1994 with a few door dings and scratches over the years, some due to clumsy car-show observers. Installed an electric fan early 2020, inside the stock fan shroud to make it less obvious.
