Early production model - mostly stock. 225 Slant-6 engine, 904 3-speed auto, 7.25" rear, 14" rims, manual drum brakes, and power steering. Interior is also stock with a bench seat. Updates include a V8 tach fitted in the factory location, reconditioned instrument panel, electronic ignition upgrade, and Hotchkiss adjustable shocks at all four corners.
Intended to be more a country-road carver more than a stoplight racer, the engine is soon heading for a long-rod rebuild along with a Oregon Cam Grinding's #346 camshaft (based off the 340 engine), custom lightweight pistons, street-ported head work, larger & lighter valves and lightened valvetrain. Induction will be NA trough an Edelbrock AVS2 500-CFM car and medium-length runner manifold with heated plenum exhausting through the current MP long-tube header and 2.25" exhaust complete with Flowmaster's Delta Flow 70 muffler. Getting all this power (or at least all it has) will require a performance rebuild on the 904 following Tom Hand's book along with a mild shift-improver kit followed by a 2,200 stall converter, rebuilt 7.25" rear housing 3:23 gears (or a similar 8.25:). And rounding it all up are plans for 15" wheels wrapped in 215/60R-15 tires, and a stiffened suspension including torque boxes.

- Denso Style starter with "Nose" on rear of the starter housing for engines with pilot hole applications. The 4.4:1 gear reduction provides high torque for easy starting of stock and high compression engines.
