  • Vehicle Overview

70 Impala wagon, with Scat Stroked 496, Weiand Supercharger, Holley 4781, Edelbrock heads, Comp Cams valvetrain, 4L60E trans. 12 Bolt rear with Auburn Posi & 3.73:1 gear set. Partially restored interior, with Auto Meter Stack dash, & Auto Meter Wideband and Vac/Boost gauge. Metco Motorsprts rear upper & lower billet control arms, UMI adjsutable Panhard bar, Tubular upper front control arms, rebuilt lower front control arms. This vehicle is a commuter, fun car, attends cruise nights, and a few car shows. It also competes in burnout competitions. Its been to the track once where it ran a 13.001 with a broken 2nd gear in the trans. One day I will have it back to the track to see what it really runs. People love the 3rd row seat as much as they like seeing a supercharged big block under the hood. This car is a real conversation piece.

    Future Plans

Upgrade from the cheap disc brake conversion kit, to a factory disc brake set up Change over to fuel injection. Try to achieve any fuel mileage figure that ends with "teen". I drive this vehicle, so fuel mileage is important when cruising, hence the upgrade to the overdrive trans. We are almost there, and without sacrificing power at that.

Awesome 1970 wagon, Cory! 1970 was a great year for the Impala and it's extra cool because it's a wagon.
