The 4th Generation Firebird took a gigantic leap forward in the power department as it could be optioned with the new LT1 small-block initially and then the now-legendary LS1 from 1998 on. Although this was ultimately the last Firebird we got as Pontiac discontinued the line and then closed its doors for good in 2009, the Firebird went out with a bang.
